From green to brown.....roasting our coffee beans

If there is a memory that I treasure from our life in Canada, then it is the discovery of Ethiopian food, and sharing a just roasted Ethiopian coffee with Ethiopian friends....

I have been collecting piece by piece all that I needed in order to enjoy a fresh roasted Ethiopian coffee to remember my friends....One day I will go to Ethiopia, and I will meet my friends there....

The taste of this coffee is indescribable.....is not strong in taste, but strong in sensation, is not sour, is a delicacy to the palate.....

We have to start with green Ethiopian coffee beans

Place it in a ceramic coffee roaster

Roast it for 10 minutes at 390-420 F for 10 minutes, until they start to pop up (sounds like popcorn but less noisy)

Let it cool and clean it. Let it rest for 24 hours before grind them

Grind them

Use a clay Ethiopian coffee pot. Two cups of water and four teaspoons of grind coffee

Place it for 10-12 minutes until it boils. Let it boil for 3 minutes

Enjoy!

We served them in our Ethiopian coffee cups

This is our original Ethiopian coffee pot that we brought it from Canada.....

Qué maravilla , siguiendo todo ese proceso de tueste por ti misma y el molinillo como te comenté por redes, me encanta.
Mi madre tenía uno cuando era pequeña pero no sabe qué fue de él :(
