Tarta de Ruibarbo y Almendras



La temporada de gripe ya está aquí ..... por lo tanto, tenemos que descansar, comer sano y variado.... frutas, verduras, fibras y proteínas ...... y los fines de semana podemos disfrutar de un pedazo de tarta .....

Tarta de Ruibarbo y Almendras (adaptado de Decadents Desserts)

masa
100 gramos de mantequilla
50 gramos de azúcar
1 huevo
 1 1/3 taza de harina
Una pizca de sal

relleno

1/4 taza de mermelada de fresa, más 2 cucharadas de agua
100 gramos de mantequilla
1/2 taza de azúcar
2 huevos
1vaina de vainilla
1 taza de almendras molidas
1 taza de ruibarbo descongelado (yo usé ruibarbo picado congelado)
Almendras en rodajas para decorar

Batir la mantequilla y el azúcar hasta que estén bien mezclados. Añadir el huevo y la pizca de sal. Batir bien. Poco a poco, incorporar la harina hasta obtener  una masa suave, pero firme. Refrigerar durante 30 minutos. Después de 30 minutos, adelgazar con un uslero  y colocarlo en un molde de tarta de profundidad (el mío es de 24 cms). Refrigere durante 1 hora.

Diluir la mermelada de fresa, y extenderla en el fondo de la tarta. Batir la mantequilla con el azúcar y las semillas de  vainilla. Incorporar los huevos y batir bien. Poner las almendras y el ruibarbo en esta mezcla, e incorporar. Repartidassobre la capa de mermelada de fresa. Decorar con las almendras fileteadas.

Precaliente el horno a 350 ° F, y cocine por 40 minutos o hasta que esté cocido (prueba palo de bambú). Utilice el horno para cocinar otras comidas con el fin de ahorrar algo de dinero y energia!...... DISFRUTE!

Almond, Rhubarb Tart


The flu season is here.....therefore, we have to rest, eat fruits, veggies, proteins......and on the weekends we can indulge ourselves to have a piece of tart.....

Almond, Rhubarb Tart (adapted from Decadent Desserts)

Dough
100 grams of butter
50 grams of sugar
1 egg
 1 1/3 cup of flour
Pinch of salt

Filling

1/4 cup of strawberry jam plus 2 tablespoons of water
100 grams of butter
1/2 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 vanilla beans seeds
1 cup of grounded almonds
1 cup of rhubarb defrosted (I used chopped frozen rhubarbs)
Sliced almonds to decorate

Beat butter and sugar until well combined. Add the egg, and the pinch of salt. Beat them well. Slowly, incorporate the flour until you have a soft, but a firm dough. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, roll it with a roll pin, and place it in a deep tart pan (mine is 24 cms). Refrigerate it for 1 hour.

Dilute the strawberry jam, and spread it in the bottom of the tart.  Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla beans seeds. Incorporate the eggs, and beat it well. Put the almonds and rhubarb into this mix, and fold it. Spread over the strawberry jam layer. Decorate it with sliced almonds.

Preheat the oven to 350F, and cook it for 40 minutes, or until is done (bamboo stick test). Use the oven to cook other meals in order to save some enrgy and money!......ENJOY!!

Crepes con Yogur Griego, Queso de Cabra, Miel y Almendras en rodajas con Salsa de Arándanos....para empezar con energia el 2013!!




Y estamos en 2013! ..... Espero que este año les traiga paz,  salud,  amor,  trabajo, armonía y estabilidad ....

En general, los desayunos nuestros son muy simples. Cappuccino y yogur griego con miel, un pedazo de bizcocho, o una tostada con queso y  aguacate, sin embargo, cuando tengo tiempo ..... algo diferente hacemos de desayuno los fines de semana:

Crepes con Yogur Griego, Queso de Cabra, Miel y Almendras en rodajas con Salsa de Arándanos

Crepes

2 huevos
Una pizca de sal
1 taza de harina
1 1/2 taza de leche (se puede usar leche más o menos, dependiendo del grosor de la masa que desea tener)
Aceite de oliva para cocinar

En una licuadora, combine los huevos, la sal y la leche. Añadir la harina por 1/4 taza y mezclar. Dejar reposar durante 30 minutos. Con una brocha de cocina, aceitar una sartén con aceite de oliva, y la calienta. Revuelva la mezcla antes de usarla. Cuando la sartén esté caliente, vierta un poco de masa y se esparce por la sarten para hacer la crepe. Cuando la crepe esta  seca, darle la vuelta y cocinar hasta que se vea dorada.

Relleno
200 gramos de yogur griego
80 gramos de queso de cabra suave
3 cucharadas de miel (más o menos dependiendo de su gusto)
50 gramos de almendras en rodajas

Mezcle todos los ingredientes y reservar.

Salsa de Arándano

Tan pronto como leí esta salsa de arándanos de Teresa ......  tenía que hacerla! .... Yo no use haba tonka, porque no la encuentro aquí, y Oporto, ya que era para el desayuno .. ... La salsa es deliciosa ..... Gracias Teresa!


Crepes with Greek Yogurt, Goat Cheese, Honey and sliced Almonds with Blueberry Sauce.....To Star 2013 with energy!!


And we are in 2013!.....I hope this year will bring you peace, health, love, job, harmony and stability....

In general, our breakfasts are very simple. Cappuccino and Greek yogurt with honey, a piece of cake, or toast with cheese and mash avocado; however, when I have time.....something different is ur breakfast during weekends:

Crepes with Greek Yogurt, Goat Cheese, Honey and sliced Almonds with Blueberry Sauce

Crepes


2 eggs 
Pinch of salt 
1  cup of flour 
1 1/2 cup milk (you can use more or less milk depending on the thickness of the batter you wish to have)
Olive oil for cooking

In a blender, combine the eggs, salt, and milk. Add the flour by 1/4 cup and mix it. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Brush a pan with olive oil, and heat it. Stir the batter before using it. When the pan is hot, pour some batter and swirl it to make the crepe. When the crepe is dry, flip it and cook it until is dobe.

Filling
200 grams of Greek yogurt
80 grams of soft Goat cheese
3 tablespoons of honey (more or less depending on your taste)
50 grams of sliced almonds

Mix all together and set aside.

Blueberry sauce

As soon as I read this blueberry sauce from Teresa......I had to make it!....I did not use haba tonka because I can't find it here, and Oporto because it was for breakfast.....The sauce is delicious.....Thank you Teresa!!
