Quinoa with Milk and Fruit for Breakfast....and other Healthy Ideas

A healthy and nutritious breakfast....you can add everything you want!

Quinoa with Milk, Strawberries, Banana and Sliced Almonds

1/2 cup of quinoa
1 1/2 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of sugar
Drops of vanilla essence
Banana
Strawberries
Sliced almonds

Wash the quinoa, and mix it with the milk and sugar. Place it n a pot, and simmer at medium low heat for 15 minutes, or until the quinoa is cooked.  Add the vanilla essence, and taste it for sugar.

Let it cool overnight in the fridge. When you serve it, add strawberries, bananas, and sliced almonds. I like to cook it plain, and add everyday something different. You can also add peaches, apricots, walnuts, dates, raisins, dry plums, or what you have in your pantry.....ENJOY!

I do yogurt at home, and we like it very thick. For that reason, I bought a couple of years ago a strainer that is less messy than the cloth.

We end up with a yogurt like this that we use in sweet or salty dishes.

And with the whey, I make bread or any other pastries

Finally, I started with sprouts.....we love them, and I will try to post some recipes with them soon!
