Man’oushe Zaatar Flat Bread

We used to go to a Lebanese bakery, and we used to eat fresh bread named Man’oushe (pita like) with zaatar. We loved it and missed it.....Now, we're making it at home!

Man’oushe Zaatar

3.5 cups of flour
3 tablespoons of milk powder
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
1 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 1/3 cups of warm water (more less)

Zaatar mix
4 tablespoon of zaatar
Olive oil

Mix them together to make a mixture of your desire consistency. Set aside.

Mix 1 cup of warm water with sugar and yeast. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add the warm yeast water along with the olive oil.  Make a dough that is soft and not sticky (add more water if needed). Let it rest for 1 hour.

Make balls of 60 grams each. I made 6 balls. and I used the remaining dough for another recipe. Flatten them, In a hot iron pan, place the dough, and switch it over. Distribute the zaatar mix. Serve it warm. You can do it in the oven too. Place the dough on a parchment paper with zaatar mix. Bake it at 350F for 8-10 minutes. ENJOY!!
