Shrimps with Feta Cheese or Garides Saganaki


This is another dish that I haven't done in ages!!.....I made it again, and with a good bread....it was heaven on earth!!

Here is the recipe:

500 grams of clean shrimps or prawns
350 grams of ripe chopped tomatoes or 1 1/2 can of tomatoes
200 grams of feta cheese
4 clove of garlic (minced)
1 onion (chopped)
1/2 teaspoon of Oregano
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley to decorate
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Chili flakes (optional)
1/2 cup of dry white wine or ouzo

In a pot, heat the olive oil and fry the onion and garlic. Add the wine or ouzo, and let it evaporate it. Add the shrimps, and let it cook for 3 minutes. Incorporate the tomatoes, and season it with salt, pepper, and oregano. Let it simmer for 3 minutes. Add the crumble  feta cheese, and  let it simmer for 5 minutes.  Serve with parsley on top. Enjoy with a piece of bread!!!....and a glass of wine.....!!

  1. This is simple yet very delicious and tempting with the combo of prawn and feta. The sauce would be marvelous with some pasta too.
