Apologies for not have been visiting your blogs last week, but we have a new member to our family!....a lovely puppy!!....it has been a busy week.
I tried this bread in a friend's home, and she shared her recipe. It goes very well with a soup or salad for a quick lunch
Cheese and potato bread
1 small potato boiled
60 ml milk
1 teaspoon dry yeast
1 tablespoon sourdough
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
270 grams of flour
Green chives, parsley, or fresh oregano
Mash the boiled potato with the milk. Incorporate the rest of the ingredients and knead it until you have a soft dough. Let rise until is double (about 90 minutes).
Grease the oven dish with butter. Put the dough into a mold. Let it rise until is double again.
Make grooves in the dough and put slices of cheese in them.
Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C / 350°F. ENJOY!
