Time to post again!!!!......
This very hot summer has been keeping me cooking, but out of the computer.....Therefore, I will stop my procrastination, and I will start posting more often. This is my suggestion for today, a very tasty snack that I really like: Murukku . This snack is usually eaten during the Diwali festival, but I like to eat it all year long.
Here goes the recipe:
1 cup of rice flour
1/4 cup of urad flour
2 tablespoon of ghee
1 teaspoon of grinded cumin seeds
1 teaspoon of red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon of asafoetida
1/2 teaspoon of salt (more up to your taste)
Water as needed to make the dough
Salt : required to taste (1/2 tbsp should be good)
Chakli press
Oil for frying
Mix the rice flour, urad flour, asafoetida, cumin, red chili and salt. Add the ghee, and incorporate the water to make a soft (not sticky) dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Using a chakli press, put the dough and start making the spiral shapes.

Fry in hot oil until golden brown, put them in towel paper when cooked. Let it cool and Enjoy!!
