Lemon/Orange and Chocolate cookies

This is a delicious cookie, the combination of citrus with chocolate is something that I like very much!

You have to bake this cookies at night when the homer is cold because it is a fragile dough. For this reason, the pictures are not really good.

Lemon/Orange and Chocolate cookies

3/4 cup of butter at room temperature
1 1/3 cup of icing sugar
1 egg
3 cups all purpose flour
30 grams of cocoa or dark chocolate powder
zest of 1 lemon or 1 orange or a combination of both
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

In a big bowl, mix the sugar and butter until they are very creamy. Add the egg and mix it well. Add the flour and baking powder combining until you have a soft but firm dough. Divide in two portions. To one portion add the citrus zest, to the other half add the cocoa powder.

With a rollin pin make a rectangle. Place the doughs in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Take the doughs out of the fridge, and place the chocolate dough over the citrus dough. Roll it by the larger side, and place it in the freezer for 1 hour. Take it out of the freezer, cut them in slices, and bake them at 325F in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. ENJOY!
