My Auntie's Home Made Flan HEMC#45
Apologies for been away!!....Blogger has had problems.....
This month, the blog http://hechoencocina.blogspot.com/ is hosting an event dedicated to the cooking of Mothers, Aunties or Grandmothers. The idea is to post a recipe that remind us their cooking; thus, we will honor them. I have many recipes that comes into my mind, but one that instantly hits me, is my Auntie's home made flan. Her flan is silky, delicate, smooth, and mouth watering.....
Here is the recipe.....
1 liter of milk
1 can condensed milk
7 eggs
Vanilla extract
1/2 cup of sugar to make caramel
In a pot, put the sugar and cover with water. Simmer it until caramel is done. Distribute the caramel in an oven proof pudding mold. Let it cool.
Mix the eggs and condensed milk. Add the vanilla extract, and the milk. Stir it well, and . Pour it in the pudding mold.
Cook it in a pre-heated oven at 375F for 40 minutes, or until fully cooked. Enjoy!!
