Christmas Mazapan Cookies


The cookie time has arrived!

I've been baking some Christmas  cookies, and I try a new mazapan cookie recipe this year

Christmas Mazapan Cookies

300 grams almond flour

80 grams icing sugar

80 grams sugar

100 grams egg white

1/2 teaspoon almond essence

few pistachios, candied orange pieces, silvered almonds

Mix the dry ingredients. Combine with the egg whites and almond essence. Place it in the fridge for 1 hour. 

Divide it in three portions. Make a long tube for each portion, and cut in small balls. 

For the first portion: make a ball, coat it with icing sugar, and place a pistachio on top.

For the second portion: make a ball, place a piece of candied orange, and coat it with icing sugar,

For the third portion: make a ball, coat it with silvered almonds.

Bake them at 325F for 10-12 minutes. ENJOY!
