Yemeni bread

With what I ate those Yemeni lentils? with Yemeni bread...

This bread is delicious!....flaky, buttery, and so easy to make! I found this Yemeni Bread in Youtube

Yemeni bread
300 grams all-purpose flour
70 grams whole wheat flour
500 grams of water (add slowly)
two teaspoon salt
butter

Knead the dough for 12 minutes. Set aside, and let it rest for 20 minutes covered.

Take 1/3 from the dough, and divide the rest in 9 small pieces.

Take the big piece of dough, and flatten it as thin as possible over a greased surface. Flatten each of the small pieces, and place them in the center. Between each layer you have to spread butter.

Fold the edges of the big dough towards the center, and flatten it.
Bake it on a big iron cast hot griddle over medium-high heat. Turn it as needed. It s a delicious flaky layered bread. ENJOY!!

  3. The bread seems pretty good with the butter and I love lentils. What do you think? I'll probably try it.
I bought beef shank today and will use it to make a stew with Brussels sprouts and potatoes. The shank slices will be boiled in root vegetables beforehand.
Best wishes to you and all the best for this year and everything that come.
Thank you for your lovely recipes.
    Have fun.

  4. That's an interesting way to make flatbread. Does it get layers when you tear?
