I don't have the whole story, but it is said that this dish was created in the former Soviet Union by a French Chef. The only thing I can say is that this dish is delicious. I have made many mushroom dishes, but this is superior!
Mushroom Julienne
400 grams of mushrooms sliced
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoon of butter
3 shallots chopped
3 garlic cloves chopped
salt
pepper
3/4 cup of sour cream
3/4 cup of cream
Havarti cheese
In a big pan, melt the butter and add the olive oil. Sautee the shallots and garlic, and add the mushrooms. Season it with salt and pepper. Add the sour cream and cream. Mix it well.
Place it in an oven dish, and sprinkle it with cheese. Place it in an oven at 400F for 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown. ENJOY!
Oregano Oil
I had some oregano that I wanted to use before we had the cold days. I use this oregano oil for pizza, salad, soup, on to of bread or anything!
1 cup of olive oil
a big bunch of fresh oregano washed
In a small pot, I prefer to use copper for the heat conductivity, place the olive oil and oregano. Let is simmer for 30-40 minutes. Let it cool in the pot. Strained it, and place it in a glass jar in a dark and cold area. ENJOY!
Se ve muy rico. Tomó nota. te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteBoth recipes are fantastic, I love esp. the mushroom cheese bake. So good.
ReplyDeleteWe use oregano oil at the onset of a cold. Whether it does any good or not is another question, but it tastes awful! I have never before known that it is used in cooking. As part of a pizza it seems far more agreeable than taking it by the spoon!
