Thali food in Mumbai

Today, there is no recipe....today there is a tribute to one of the cultures (and food) that I love the most.....Indian food....

After 21 years, we returned to India....many things have changed....but their spirit, traditions and food remains the same to me.....

All of these years, I was dreaming to go back to India, and try one of the dishes that I couldn't try the first time.... Thali...

Thali is a round tray with small dishes (all vegetarian) that offer a journey through different sensations. The goal of Thali id to offer 6 different flavors in one plate....salty, bitter, sour, spicy, astringent and sweet....

They serve you one round of each plate, and as you finish they keep coming to put more food until you say "No Thank you!.....It was very difficult to say no....believe me....

By recommendation, we went to Shree Thaker Bhojanalay (Since 1945 )...the oldest Thali restaurant in Mumbai....9https://www.instagram.com/shreethakerbhojanalay/)  It is a Gujarati style restaurant. We went to other Thali restaurants in Mumbai, but this was the best....sorry....THE BEST!!!   very affordable .....the price per person was approximately 6 euros....and you can repeat as you want....

Now, I'm dreaming daily of when we will eat again there.....

If you go to Mumbai....please go....the address is 31, Dadisheth Agyari Lane, Off Kalbadevi Road, Kalbadevi, Mumbai.

Before they start placing the food......
Desserts with mango....it was mango season

At the end of our meal
