Kadhi sauce
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
4 dried red chilies
3 green chilies
2.2 cm ginger chopped
2 garlic chopped
2 cups yogurt
5 tbs gram flour
salt and pepper
oil to fry
4 cups of water or more if needed . It depends on how thick you want the sauce.
In a pot, fry the seeds with ginger and garlic. In a bowl, mix the water, yogurt, and gram flour. Add turmeric, salt and pepper. Blend it with a hand blender until there is no lumps. Add it to the pot, and heat it until it is thick. It takes about 15 minutes. Place this sauce on a plate, and place the veggie fritters on top. Serve warm with rice. ENJOY!
They look so comforting, warming and tasty with that awesome spiced yoghurt sauce..indeed a perfect winter dish.
