Greek feta cheese pie

Repeat with me....no more youtube videos of food....write it 100 times!!....

Sometimes, I watch youtube videos at  night that are documentaries; however, when I have a food video, I watch it....and I have to make it!!

I buy in a discount supermarket where you have to buy a lot of a product. In general, when I buy cheese, I divide and freeze them (except for parmiggiano cheese) for later use. There was a special discount price for feta cheese, and that nigh, I watched a video of a Greek recipe with feta, yogurt, and phyllo dough....I had everything!....the next day, I made it....it was delicious, and I had dinner for three nights....I just changed the salad. It was intriguing to me that the dough was sprinkle with a mix of olive oil and sparkling water.....the mix made the dough very soft and less heavier than with butter and olive oil mix.....Here is the recipe...the original youtube is in this link I recommend to watch the video to see how it is made....easy and delicious!

Greek feta cheese pie

Ingredients
1 package of  phyllo (about 500 grams)
300 g milk
150 g yoghurt
500 g Greek feta cheese
2 medium eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 garlic clove chopped

To moist the phyllo dough
100 g sparkling water
50 g olive oil
1 tsp salt

Mix the milk, yogurt, feta cheese, baking powder, eggs, oregano and garlic. Set aside.

Mix the sparkling water, olive oil, and salt. Set aside.

In a oven tray, place 4 sheets of phyllo dough. In between the layers, sprinkle the water and olive oil mix. Cut 4 sheets of phyllo dough in fettuccini style, and place it on top of the sheets of phyllo dough. Place the feta mix on top, and fold the sides of sheets of phyllo dough towards the center.  Place the other sheets of phyllo dough on top, and folding them under to properly close it. Sprinkle with the mix of water and olive oil in between. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180C for 40 minutes or until golden brown. ENJOY!!
