Batido or Marraqueta Bread......Parmiggiana Pink Clams, and Matico Pink Clams.....Chilean Food Day!!

I thought I was not able to contribute to the Chilean Food Day with a Chilean Food Post, but my husband remind me about these food pictures that we have ....a typical Chilean Bread (called Batido, Marraqueta, or Pan Frances depending the city where you live..), and Pink Clams......our favourite Chilean Seafood!!

Because we live away, we use seafood in can. We are lucky because we can find a lot of Chilean products here. Therefore, to cook with Chilean flavour is not as difficult as we thought....

Parmiggiana Pink Clams (Machas a la Parmesana)

2 cans of pink clams
White wine
Pepper
Butter
Parmiggiano Cheese
Havarti Cheese

Distribute the pink clams in oven proof dishes. I use "platos de greda", but you can use ramekin. In each ramekin sprinkle a teaspoon of white wine, pepper, and a small piece of butter. Put some havarti cheese, and on top parmiggiano cheese. Put in a preheated oven at 425F until the cheese has melted.....Enjoy!!

Matico Pink Clams (Machas al Matico)

2 cans of pink clams
Pepper
Coriander (chopped)
Lemon
Olive oil
Onion (chopped)
Sea salt if you want

Distribute the pink clams in oven proof dishes. I use "platos de greda", but you can use ramekin. Season it with lemon juice, olive oil, coriander, onion, pepper, and salt........Enjoy!!

And the bread???.......You can eat this Pink Clams with a Pan Batido or Marraqueta......and I use the recipe of this link

ENJOY!!
