Kimbap....Korean Sushi

My good friend "Y" is Korean, and she introduced me to the Korean cuisine....We spent days making Kimbap, Kimchi (from scratch), Kimchi Fried rice as well other Korean delicacies....

Kimbap

For kimbap, you can use any combination of vegetables with one protein. I do it to clean the fridge.

1 cup short grain rice
rice wine vinegar
sugar
salt
seaweed sheets (sushi nori)
3 eggs beaten with salt and green onions or chives
Yellow radish pickle (Korean danmuji)

Vegetables (all in strips)
Carrots
Cucumber
Lettuce
Bell pepper
Avocados
Spinach (cooked or fresh)

Protein (all in pieces)
Shrimps
Tuna
Crab
Chicken
Ham

Wash the rice until the water comes clear. Cook it until is firm. Let it warm and season it with 1 teaspoon of rice wine vinegar, some salt and sugar.

On a sushi mat, place some saran wrap. Place a seaweed sushi sheet. Distribute the rice. Near one side, place the vegetables in a pile, and then roll the seaweed. Seal it with one edge with water.

Also, you can place the rice, and then flip the seaweed and put the vegetable and the protein on the side of the seaweed, and you will have a kimbap with rice in the outside.

Enjoy with soy sauce and kimchi!!
