Rasmalai Ice cream with a Gulab Jamun on top!!
I love Indian food and their sweets and desserts. Probably, gulab jamun and rasmalai are two of our favorites....Why not make them ice cream?
Gulab Jamun Ice Cream
You have to start making Gulab Jamun. My recipe is in this link.
The next day, once the gulab jamun have been soaked over night in the syrup, divide the syrup and the balls. Mix 1/2 of the syrup, and mix it with 7 tablespoons of powder milk. Set aside.
Make a custard with 2 eggs and 250 grams of whipping cream (35%). Let it cool. Mix it with 300 grams of the mix of gulab jamun syrup with powder milk. Whip 200 grams of whipping cream (35%) until is firm, and fold it into the custard. Divide gulab jamun balls (as much as you want) in half, and mix it with the mixture. Place it in an ice cream maker. ENJOY!
Rasmalai Ice Cream
You have to start making Rasmalai. My recipe is in this link.
The next day, once the rasmalai have been soaked over night in the milk syrup, divide the milk syrup and the balls.
Make a custard with 2 eggs and 450 grams of whipping cream (35%), 250 grams of the rasmalai milk syrup, and 2 tablespoons of powder milk. Let it cool. Divide rasmalai balls (as much as you want) in half, and mix it with the mixture. Place it in an ice cream maker. ENJOY!
I too love Indian food but not so much their desserts although your Ice cream looks really delicious. On second thought I do love Indian Keer rice pudding.
