Veggie burger with garam masala





I love to try new flavors....I have few recipes for veggie burgers, but I have never used garam masala before in their preparation.....for sure I will make them again!!

Vegetarian Burger with Garam Masala

3/4 cup cooked red beans
1/2 cup of cooked rice
250 grams of breadcrumbs
2 teaspoons garam masala
1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds crushed
1 teaspoon cumin seeds crushed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 garlic cloves chopped
1 shallot chopped
3 green onions chopped
100 grams of parmigiano reggiano grated cheese 
Salt
Pepper
1 egg
Olive oil

In a pan, heat olive oil, and sautee the garlic and shallot. Add the garam masala, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and turmeric. Sautee for 4 minutes, and set aside.
In a food processor, mash the red beans, but not completely. Place it in a bowl, and with your hand, mix it with the  the breadcrumbs, rice, green onions, and the mix of  garlic, shallot and spices. Add the grated cheese, salt, pepper and egg.  If the mixture is still wet, then add more rice or breadcrumbs.  Mix it well, and place it in the fridge for at least 3 hours. 

Make patties and fry them both sides for 3 -4 minutes. Place a piece of cheeseat the last minute for melting it.

Place the veggie burger on a burger bun with Kimchi, mash avocado, and tomatoes.....ENJOY!
