Everything started because I had some vegetables in the fridge that were not enough to make a full dish. Then, I remember that I could make this dish since the filling can be whatever-you-have-in-the-fridge!
Karışık Pide
570g flour
320 ml warm water (1.5 cups)
30 ml olive oil
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 teaspoons dry instant yeast
1 tablespoon sourdough
Mix the water, sugar, instant yeast, and sourdough. Let it rest for 10 minutes. In a mixing bowl, mix the dry ingredients, and add the water mix. Add olive oil, and kneed them until you have s soft dough. Let it rise for 2 hours. Then place it in the fridge for 2 hours.
Filling with whatever-you-have-in-the-fridge
2 onions diced
3/4 red bell pepper diced
2 garlic cloves diced
1 carrot grated
150 ml of tomato sauce
olive oil
salt
oregano
1 can of tuna
Cheese in pieces
Grated cheese for the dough
In a pan with olive oil, sautee the onions and garlic. Add the bell pepper and carrot. Season it with salt and oregano. Let it cool and add the tomato sauce, cheese in pieces, and the tuna.
Divide the dough in 6 pieces. With a rolling pin, flatten it and place grated cheese in the edges. Roll it and seal it.
Place the filling inside, and bake it at 375F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
I loved the dough, and I made it again with a filling of mushrooms, cheese and olives, and the same tuna filling with olives. ENJOY!!
Gracias por la receta. Tomó nota. Te mando un beso.
